Introduction
A consistenttheory of property rights can be formed by answering these basic questions: 1)How to distinguish property rights from personal legal relationships; 2) Whatthings can be the object of property rights; 3) Which types of property rightsare permitted by law.
The lessonexplores the answers that these questions have been given in the civil lawtradition and the convergences and divergences that emerge between the variousEuropean countries.
Biographyof the speakers
Professor Anotonio Gambaro is Professor Emeritus of University of Milan; He was admittedto the Milan Bar in 1971. Lawyer at the Milan Bar since 1971. He gained experience working in Studio Legale Scalfi, acting as counsel in StudioCarnelutti (of which he has been partner from 1990 to 2001) and in Studio VitaSamory- Fabbrini and Associates. He holds a strong expertise in Trusts and RealEstate, contractual and commercial law and in arbitration proceedings bothacting as a lawyer as well as an arbitrator.
