The school of Law in Renmin University of China, together with partners in the Danish National Research Foundationí»s Centre of Excellence for International Courts at Copenhagen University, received 2-year grant from the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Denmark

Recently, the school of Law in RenminUniversity of China, together with partners in the Danish National ResearchFoundationí»s Centre of Excellence for International Courts at Copenhagen University(iCourts, https://jura.ku.dk/icourts/), received a 2-year grant from theMinistry of Higher Education and Science. The framework grant of DKK 285 000was awarded for developing Denmark-China Network for International EconomicDispute Resolution (IEDR).


The Danish National Research Foundationí»sCentre of Excellence for International Courts at Copenhagen University is aninternational research centre for dispute settlement supported by the DanishNational Research Fund. It has a group of research teams with global influenceand is an academic center engaged in the study of international disputesettlement mechanisms. Since 2017, a bilateral research team led by ProfessorHan Liyu, School of Law, Renmin University of China, and Professor Joanna Jemielniak,Faculty of Law, Copenhagen University, has conducted academic cooperation andResearch on the issue of transnational economic and trade dispute settlementmechanism in the context of globalization, and co-convened the theme of thestudy in January 2018 at Copenhagen University. The International Symposium onthe role of China in the settlement of international economic and tradedisputes has achieved good academic repercussions.



In the next three years, the team led byProfessor Han Liyu and Professor Joanna Jemielniak will carry out systematicacademic cooperation on the " International Economic Dispute Resolution(IEDR)" under the background of China,s deep participation and influencein international trade and economy, including co-organizing academicconferences, expanding research teams, writing and publishing academic papers.At present, the team members also include Zhang Wenliang, Associate Professorand Xiong Bingwan, Assistant Professor in Law School of RUC , Xiangwen,assistant professor and Dr. Grunenjuvar at Copenhagen University.
