The School of Law has established relationships with hundreds of famous universities and institutions from many
countries and regions and has developed programs on foreign exchange and cooperation. These countries and regions include the United States, Japan, France, Germany, U.K., Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Korea, Russia and E.U. as well as China Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Each year about 50 teachers from the Law School go abroad, take part in academic conferences, lecture and study as visiting scholars. Moreover, every year the School of Law welcomes hundreds of foreign specialists, lawyers and senior officials. Various forms of partnerships have been established between the School of Law and other foreign well-known universities. Recently the School of Law has successfully held nearly hundreds of international, trans-regional and bilateral academic seminars which have far-reaching influences, such as the First Joint Conference of Sino-U.S. Law School Deans in June 1998; the First Joint Conference of EU-China Law School Deans in June 2000; the Forum of International Law School Deans and Jurists & the Celebration Ceremony for the 50th Anniversary of Renmin University of China Law School in December 2000; the "The forum on Asian Legal Education innovation and Development in 21st century" in 2001.
Furthermore, the School of Law has made great achievements in educational cooperation. In February 1994 ,in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and H.K.'s Shue Yan College, the School of Law began to conduct a Mainland China Bar Exam Review Program for H.K., Macao and Taiwan Lawyers in Hong Kong. In 1995, the School of Law and City University of Hong Kong began to jointly conduct a program offering both Mainland and H.K.'s LL.M degrees at H.K. In 1998 the School of Law initiated China Law Summer Program for U.S., Canadian and Australian students. In addition, the School of Law has conducted a Workshop on Dutch Law Program with Netherlands and an European Law Training Program with France. All the above activities have not only won international reputation for the School of Law of the Renmin University of China, but also established a good image of China's legal education as a whole, therefore strongly pushed forward the cooperation between China and the world in the aspect of legal research and education.
