The evaluation and selection of national exceptional post-doctorates and exceptional post-doctorate positions hosted by Ministry of Personnel and National Post-doctorate Management Commission has come to an end. On October 21, the ceremony is held in the People's Hall. Before the commendation, Premier Wen Jiabao meets representatives and delivers an important speech. Vice dean Ye Qiuhua in charge of post-doctoral affairs takes part in the meeting. 73 exceptional post-doctoral positions are selected among 1363 positions in the country, including the School of Law of RUC as a post-doctoral position in law is the only one in the national legal education field.

The post-doctoral position in law of the School of Law has been established since November, 1993 with a total enrollment of 72 members, with 41 current post-doctorates and 31 having graduated. A majority of them teach in universities and colleges and some of them work in government offices and judicial practice departments. They have made great achievements in research. From November, 2002 to December, 2004, they have won 28 prizes on research programs, including three in national projects and 25 with the rank of provinces and ministries. More than 140 theses have been published including 129 national core publications, 1 SSCI and 12 CSSCI. 51 academic works have been published with 4 provincial and ministerial prizes and 1"Social Contribution"titled national award.
