The China International Big Data Industry Expo 2019 (hereinafter referred to as “Big Data Expo”) was held in Guiyang from May 26 to 29, 2019. During the Big Data Expo, the “Right Affirmation, Openness, Sharing, Empowerment of Data: Construction of the Data Economy System” Forum was successfully held in Guiyang on May 28, 2019. The Forum was sponsored by the Big Data Expo Organizing Committee, undertaken by Renmin University of China, Guiyang College, and the Digital Technology Industry Working Committee at China Quality Management Association for Electronics Industry (CQAE). It was co-organized by the Law and Technology Institute at Renmin University of China, School of Economics and Management of Guiyang College, Big Data Blockchain and Regulatory Technology Laboratory at Renmin University of China, and other units. More than 300 senior scholars, economists, technical experts, industry representatives, and business leaders from the government, enterprises, and academia gathered together and conducted in-depth discussions on the above topic, contributing toward the development of a data economy.
